New in Jade Property Suite 5
Jade Property Suite 5.0 is a major upgrade with many new features to help save you time and effort. The most significant changes are in sending email, creating PDFs and responding to enquiries. For large databases, Jade 5 also delivers greater speed and performance.
Email property details as a PDF to any contact
Sending a brochure, flyer or any report as an optimized PDF is now easy. Select 'Email PDF' and choose what you want to send about a property/ properties and to whom. Jade generates the PDF, attaches it to an email and sends it to your own email application (e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express or any Windows email software).
Respond to enquiries with full-color details
The enquiries response system has been greatly improved. You can now respond
by email and/or postal mail with full color details of matching properties.
All of the default options for enquiries can now be easily accessed and
edited in one window under the Administration menu. You can choose the templates
that should be used for full-color details. Email can be sent using your
own email application (e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express etc)..
by Postal Mail
- When you respond to a customer who wants to receive property details by postal mail, a letter is addressed to the customer and a catalogue of matched properties is created.
- Envelopes or labels can be printed for enquiries.
by Email
A personalized message is generated to customers who have opted to receive property details by email.
- When you respond with full-color details, a PDF of the matched listings is attached to the email.
- If your customer prefers not to receive an attachment, the message will contain a list of matching properties and summary details.
Save as PDF
You can now save any property template as a PDF. This is a quick and easy way to save a permanent copy of reports, brochures, flyers, letters etc generated with a print template.
From the Property menu, select Save as PDF and choose the template. The PDF quality can be set to Low, Medium, High or Best.
Send Email to a contact
When you just want to send a message to a contact, Jade creates a blank email with the contact's address pre-filled. If the contact has more than one email address, Jade displays them as a list so that you can decide what address to use.
New field: 'Price Types'
The Main tab of the property record now has a field called 'Price type'.
You can select from a menu of texts like, 'Price'; 'Asking Price'; 'Offered at"; "Offers over"; 'Price Region'; 'Guide Price'; Rent'' etc.
- The options in this menu can be edited in the Master Records.
- The Price type field can be used instead of a static label (e.g. 'Price:') in the Print Templates and Web Design.
- The new designs shipped with Jade Property Suite 5 use the Price Type
field where appropriate.
Save Grid Layouts
It is now possible to save and load layouts for both the properties grid and the contacts grid. So, if you need a different layout for a specific task (exporting to Excel or a text file for example), you can set up the grid, save it and reload it as needed.
The layout includes:
- Visible Columns
- Order of Columns
- Grouping (if any)
Improved Print Templates Manager
The Print Templates Manager is now located under the Administration menu.
A new Interface tab in the Print Templates Manager allows you to select
the templates for the property Print button and menu.
New Print Templates
Jade Property Suite 5 templates have a more streamlined design and were designed for the new edition of the Print Templates Editor.
- A4 and US letter versions of most templates have been included.
- Envelope layouts are available in DL and #10 sizes
- The standard brochure now includes a section for images (cover page, rooms, features, images and disclaimer).
- 6 Single-page flyer layouts
- 6 Listings layouts
Enhanced Print Templates Editor
The new version of the Print Templates Editor includes countless improvements, including:
- Themes support for XP and Vista
- Dockable design windows
- New - Toolbar architecture.

- New - Workspace grid and snap-to-grid support
- Improved Undo support

- New - rotated text support
- Custom colors added to color palette are now saved between sessions
