Web hosting requirements

Web hosts usually offer a standard package for business users that will meet your requirements.

•	Most standard packages have PHP support. You will need this to use Jade's web search for your listings.

•	Your web host can have a Windows or a Unix server. Jade generates static HTML (i.e ready-made web pages and processed images) so, you do not need to worry about the type of server your web host uses.

•	You do not need database support on your web hosting account. Your database will not be on the web server.

In summary:

If you already have a website hosted on a standard web hosting account, you should be able to use Jade to publish your listings without any problem.

If you do not have a website yet, get a standard web hosting account.

Note:

Free web hosts are usually not suitable. You will need full FTP access in order to upload your files.
