Using an External HTML Editor

You can edit the Property and the Category template in an external HTML editor.

The code segments must be edited in Jade's code window.

•	Access your external editor via the button on the HTML code window.

•	When you have finished, save and then go back to the Jade code window. (Refresh by switching between nodes on the tree).

To change the external editor, select Tools > Environment options from the Main Window.

Notes:

-Some editors may re-arrange the <head></head> and <body> tags. If this happens, fix it afterwards in the Jade code window.

-Another element of code that may be affected is the extended 'mailto' link. Typically, this is what can be corrupted:

&body='Regarding-{property field="caption"}.

If this has been changed by the external editor, you might get this message when generating pages: Field "" does not exist.
