Quick Start Tutorial
This tutorial is for first time users of Jade Property Suite. It describes how to create a new property record with enough information for a window card, a brochure/flyer and a web page.
At the bottom of the Main Window, select Create.
On the Main tab:
- Type a Caption for this property (e.g. 'Apartment 44, Newtown', or '4 Bed Home, Oldtown' etc.).
- Type a number in the Price field. Jade will add the currency symbol and commas using your default Windows currency settings.
![]()
- Select a market, status, location and property type from the menus (you can change these menus later).
On the Details tab:
- Enter the property address.
- Select the owner (vendor) by clicking the button with the 3 dots. Choose someone from the sample contacts.
On the Description tab:
- Type a description for this property.
- Select the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, garages etc.
- Type the plot area that you will tell your customers e.g. "2.5 acres approximately" or "1 hectare approx." etc.
- Type the floor area that you will tell your customers e.g. "1,200 sq. ft approximately" or "110 M2 approx." etc.
On the Images tab:
- Select 'New' and browse for a property image. One image is enough to get started.
- If you want to load more images, one must be selected as the default image. To do this, select the main image. Then click the 'Image' button and choose 'Set as Default Image'.

On the Rooms tab:
If you do not normally record information about rooms, you can ignore this tab.
Select 'New'.
- In the new row that was created, select a room type by choosing from the menu (the available options can be customized later).
- Type some dimensions for this room e.g. 80 X 90 sq. ft. (Optional)
- Select the floor this room is located on. (Optional)
- Type a comment about any noteworthy features of this room. (Optional)
On the Features tab:
If you like, select some features, inclusions and services for this property. (The available options can be customized - so do not worry if you see items that are unfamiliar to you).
What's Next?
You now have enough information entered to print a brochure, a flyer and a window card, create a web page, include this property in buyer matching and search for the property with the search panel.
When you are ready:
- Use the Events tab to record activities like house inspections, open houses, showings, offers and closing events.
- Use the Sale tab to track sales and generate invoices.
- Use the Jotter tab for internal memos.
