  • Open the Windows Control Panel (Start > Settings > Control Panel)
  • In the Control Panel, select Regional Options
  • In the Regional Options Window, select the Currency tab
  • Select your preferred currency symbol. If there is no symbol available, you can also type an abbreviation e.g. "EUR"
  • Restart Jade Property Suite

Your currency will now be used in Jade Property Suite.

How do I set the 'Home' link on my web pages?

The 'Home' link can be changed in the Web Design Editor:

  • Administration > Web Publish Options > Edit Web Design
  • From the Edit menu, select Navigation Options
  • Click 'Home' under Category Pages and, on the right, type the web address you want as a link.
  • Click 'Home' under Property Pages and set the link once again.

If you select 'Home' as one of the navigation links for your web pages, you may want this to link to the homepage of your website.

There are two ways you can set up the link to the home page of your website:
1. The easiest way is to use the full web address of your website (e.g. http://www.yourwebsite.com)
OR
2. Using a relative link to your home page (e.g. ../index.html).

To use a relative link, you need to know the structure of your website and where the property pages will be in relation to your home page. In the example above, these characters '../' mean that your home page (index.html) is outside the folder containing your listings.

What should I do before installing a new version?

First, create a backup:

For security, before installing a new version over your current version, you should make a full backup. You should also save a copy of your web design and web categories files if you are making a backup in version 3.x.

When naming your backup, you might find it useful to use the version number as well as the date (e.g. 22 March Jade31).

Next, make sure that you have full access to the files you need:

Close down Jade on all computers. Close down all other applications. If you are sharing the database on a network, log on to the computer on which you are about to install as Administrator.

Should I uninstall the current version before installing a new version?

No. Install over your current version.

In other words, install the new version in the same place on your computer. The Installation Wizard remembers where you installed Jade on the computer and will automatically choose this destination.

For security, before installing a new version over your current version, always make a full backup.

You should have the same version of Jade Property Suite running on all computers.

Will I have to enter all of my properties and contacts etc. again?

No. Install the new version over your current installation.
